This week, we turned our focus towards another Mexican design studio and their recent work for a high-end restaurant located in Mexico City. The studio in question is Futura (yes, another brand named after a font) while the restaurant is Elly’s, named after its founder, Elizabeth Frasier.

Futura dug deep into Elly’s (the person) childhood memories and created abstract illustrations that are featured significantly in Elly’s (the restaurant) interiors, menus and packaging. The brand identity features a unique blend of 1930’s typography and handwritten script typefaces, creating a playful and nostalgic brand halo.

Here it is, our weekly inspiration.
